I won't let my mom watch him anymore...Please help? Q. Ok before the current situation, to better understand, you need to know that my mom has had a drug (pill popper) addiction for the past few years. For over a year she was always just out of it and we thought that she was taking extra pills on accident and after so long we finally as a family (a huge one) found out the truth that when she would get depressed she would OD just so she could "sleep her pain away". We had a family intervention when I was pregnant with my son. I told her that if she didn't stop that she would not be able to see her first grandbaby. That worked...so I thought. She stopped for months and even got into volunteer groups and such to stay focused on the positive. Well she has been watching my son (now 3 months old)… [cont.] Asked by I love my son - Fri Dec 19 19:10:25 2008 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments A. Oh boy, I feel your pain. My mom was in an accident 10 years ago and injured her back - they started prescribing her percocet and then oxycontin and she became addicted. None of us wanted to believe it. The day I finally believed it, I had just had dental work done and was in a lot of pain. I had gotten a prescription for percocet and my mom decided she was going to come over to my house "to comfort me". Well, she came over for 5 minutes - long enough to use the bathroom and steal all my pills. I called the police, and I called social services because my sister was only 13 when all of this happened. Shortly after, my mother was driving my sister to school one day and drove right off the road because she was high. Long story short, [cont.] Answered by Brass Monkey - Fri Dec 19 19:26:24 2008 What colleges should I be looking at? Q. I'm a junior and my GPA is about a 3.8 unweighted. I took 3 APs this year and every one of my classes has been honors. My SAT score was 2020. I am an involved member in various clubs, such as CAD (Computer Architectural Design) Club, French Club, and SMAC (Student Movement Against Cancer), and founded a group in my high school which raises money for children in Africa by collecting old sneakers. I also run track. For the past two summers, I have been accepted to and participated in a 4-week college prep course at NJIT University. The first year mainly focused on chemistry, and the second on physics. For this, I also earned 6 college credits. I occasionally volunteer at a group home in a nearby urban area, helping out abandoned… [cont.] Asked by Andrew - Mon Jun 30 03:10:16 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. You should definitely be applied to schools like Cornell and UC Berkeley. They are great universities and your SAT scores are right in their range. Your GPA is also impressive and the volunteer work also helps your application out. Boston College and Georgia IT would make for good backups. If you're going for engineering, I highly recommend Cornell. It is one of the best in the country for engineering, and the Ivy League status also helps you with job hunting. Of course, your top choice should also depend on location. Cornell is very nice, but from what I hear, there isn't much to do around there. Also, if you live on the west coast, you might want to go to UC Berkeley to stay close to home or go to Cornell instead to experience a new… [cont.] Answered by Steph - Mon Jun 30 03:21:34 2008 KAMAL K K ROY & DEMOCRACY IN usa AND AROUND THE GLOBE;MAY BE SOME DAY U MAY LIKE TO READ; IS IT TRUE ?
